Local staff from ingo PEACE. have immediately begun relief activities following the strong earthquake that struck central Myanmar on March 28, 2025. The following day, they provided meals portioned for families to patients and caregivers at a hospital in Lewe Township and to disaster victims at a mosque. On March 30, they expanded their activities to include patients, families, care staff, and government employees at a 1,000-bed hospital in Naypyidaw, as well as in Zabuthiri Township. In just the first two days after the disaster, a total of 10,000 food portions were distributed, and reports stated that, “This was the first food we have received in this difficult situation, where cooking has been impossible.” On March 31, activities were further expanded to Pyinmana Township. We have been at pains to ensure that support reaches those in need without being influenced by politics, religion, or any other factors. The team continues to collaborate closely with local administrative leaders and medical supervisors, maintaining coordination as they carry out their work.
